The Chief Executive Officer of JUPITER FOUNDATION subsidiary of Jupiter Event Production, Mr. Opoku Johnson Kofi has donated assorted food items worth GHc 8,000 and a cheque of Ghc 3,000 to the ‘Ashan Children’s Home’ Orphanage at Buoho-Danase in the Afigya-Kwabre District of the Ashanti region.
The items included quantities of rice, tin tomatoes, sugar, biscuits, cooking oil, milk, soft drinks, eggs, and toiletries. The donation formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities.
Mr. Johnson Kofi also emphasized the need to show love to the less privileged especially in February, also known as the month of love.
“It is very prudent that people realize that giving to loved ones is very important but the greatest gift you can give is to someone who cannot pay you back or reciprocate this love to you in any way. This form of giving, though may look little in your sight, could change the lives of people forever. So if we need change, we have to start from somewhere,” he said.
Mr. Opoku Johnson Kofi presented the items plus the cheque to Mr. William Assirifi Tinkorang, Supervisor of the Orphanage, who received the items on behalf of the management and staff.
Mr. Tinkorang expressed gratitude to their benefactor for the gesture and said the move would deepen their partnership.
Mr. William Tinkorang, Supervisor of the Ashan Children’s Home Orphanage thanked Jupiter Event Company Limited for the donation.
Mr. Tinkorang said the orphanage needed more assistance to be able to adequately maintain the children.
He, therefore, called on other organizations to come to their aid as the population of the Orphanage keeps on increasing.
